Feels like the first time

With repeated "encouragement" I finally gave in and created a blog. I titled it "Feels like the first time", in reference to a song. I thought it fitting since this isn't my first blog. I attempted to blog on myspace but got bored with it. However, I wasn't really writing anything of note. That is not to say you should expect anything of note here, but I promise I'll make it as interesting as I can. I can tell I am in sort of a wry mood which I am sure is communicating between the lines.

Here's a couple of explanations and a what to expect from this blog. First, the name- Life Lessons from the Table. When people name things, other people often wonder why that? But most people, because of conversations about what's polite and what's not, don't ask why! This leaves them in a state of wonderment and confusion. I don't want my readers in confusion unless that's the point of the blog. So, Life Lessons from the Table refers to my job as a Tournament Poker Dealer. Throughout this blog I will make references to things I have learned at the poker table.

As for the email address/URL it's pretty simple, I deal poker and I sing. Actually, I am a musician and play several other instruments including piano and violin! Music will be a recurring theme on this blog, and I will try to mix that up to keep you guessing!
